Alán Carrasco

In 1926, while the Marxist philosopher and ideologue Antonio Gramsci was temporarily imprisoned in the Regina Coeli Prison in Rome, Benito Mussolini inaugurated the Genoa football field. There, a uniformed crowd in black shirts enthusiastically received the Duce, who was celebrating the fifth anniversary of the start of his totalitarian project. This piece reproduces an original triple photographic shot that recomposes a 270º panoramic view of the stadium during that event.
