On this occasion Acha-Kutscher presents a new series entitled Permission de Travestissement (2020) in reference to the ordinance that allowed 19th-century Parisian women to dress as men on certain occasions. The installation brings together portraits, quotations and artists who have appropriated the symbols of power traditionally associated with masculinity in a gesture of emancipation and vindication of the right to their own image.
