Avelino Sala
This sculpture shows the figure of Atlas, a titan from Greek mythology, on a pedestal made up of lacquered books in shades that gradually go from gray to black. Thus, Sala’s work recovers an icon from Antiquity to speak of the contemporary situation in which society seems doomed to a permanent state of crisis.
