One may say that the real fortune of the rich is that their wealth keeps growing. Regardless of global economic downfall, international commercial wars and geopolitical tensions, according to the IMF, in 2019 the billionaires of the world became 9% richer and even amid #COVID recession, the trend seems constant. This piece titled “1%”, materializes this ever so current paradox, where billionaires who account for 1% of the world’s population, own more than half of the global wealth and possess an increasing economic power that differs from the reality of the majority.
